Rachael King is the author of several books including Magpie Hall and The Sound of Butterflies, which won the award for the best novel at the 2007 Montana Book Awards and was published in ten languages. In 2008, Rachael was the Ursula Bethell Writer in Residence at Canterbury University. Red Rocks won the Esther Glen Medal for Junior Fiction at the 2013 LIANZA Children’s Book Awards.
