Aileen La Tourette is a poet and novelist. Her first book Nuns and Mothers was published by Virago in the 1980s. Her other fiction included Cry Wolf, Weddings and Funerals (co-authored with Sara Maitland) and Late Connections. La Tourette has also written eight plays for the BBC. She teaches at John Moores University in Liverpool.
