Dan Jellinek is founder of Headstar, a publishing house covering technology and social issues including the effect of the internet on democracy, and access to technology by people with disabilities. He also works for the Parliamentary IT Committee (PITCOM), briefing MPs and Peers on key policy issues such as the use of the Internet in the ongoing pro-democracy struggles in the Middle East and elsewhere.

In 2001 he was co-founder (with Tom Steinberg, James Crabtree and Derek Parkinson) of the former non-profit body VoxPolitics, the UK’s first think-tank tracking the use of new technologies in political campaigning. This work led to Dan being voted in 2004 among the top 10 people worldwide having the greatest impact on the way the internet is changing politics, at the World eDemocracy Forum in Paris.
