Lizzie Lane is the author of over seventy books which span multiple historical periods, many of which are bestsellers.  She was born and bred in Bristol, which is the backdrop and inspiration for many of her books, including The Tobacco Girls and Coronation Close series. Her books feature working class people living in the period before and during World War Two, and are gritty and down to earth, dealing with poverty, social injustice, and friendship winning through.
