Neil Chapman is a graduate of Cambridge University and works as a teacher in Tokyo. His all-consuming passion is perfume. It has brought him to the perfumers of Paris, London, Rome, Beverley Hills and Berlin, as well as to the flea markets, vintage emporia and incense specialists of Tokyo. Neil has been writing the perfume blog The Black Narcissus since 2012.

 

In 2013, he won a Jasmine Award for his writing (the industry awards for excellence in perfume journalism) for an article which appeared in radical scent magazine ODOU, to which he contributed regularly.
