Omari McCarthy

Omari McCarthy is a young writer just starting out in screenwriting. For children’s audiences, his spec scripts include HOW TO CATCH A MONSTER which is a 22’ comic action adventure animation for 7 - 12 years pitched as Ghostbusters meets The Goonies and 11’ preschool animation series LITTLE LOUD which features Little and her large and uncontrollable shadow Loud. His first credits are two episodes of PJ MASKS. His episode of JOJO & GRAN GRAN was recently broadcast on CBBC and is available on BBC iPlayer here.  Omari is under commission for several children's scripted series in production as well as a new project on Claudia Jones, founder of the famous Notting Hill Carnival, read more here.

Omari has been a busy production co-ordinator and production assistant working in animation on series such as 101 Dalmatian Street (Passion Pictures), Dennis and Gnasher: Unleashed (Jellyfish Animation), Hey Duggee (Studio AKA), and Mr Bean (Tiger Aspect).
