Paterson Joseph

Paterson is one of the UK's finest actors and his debut play as writer SANCHO: AN ACT OF REMEMBRANCE was initially produced at the Arcola Theatre (as a co-production with the Oxford Playhouse) in Autumn 2013 and went on to have two further tours in the US and a production at Wilton's Music Hall in 2018. 
 
The play, published by Oberon, explores the life of Charles Ignatius Sancho, the first black person of African origin to vote in Britain whose life was full of surprising, moving and funny twists.  
Dialogue books have recently announced that they will publish Paterson's latest novel THE SECRET DIARIES OF CHARLES IGNATIUS SANCHO which is due for release in October 2022. Read more here.
His first book Julius Caesar and Me: Exploring Shakespeare's African Play was released in 2018 by Bloomsbury.
