Sarah Beeson is an author and baby expert. She began her nursing training in 1970 in the East End of London. In the mid-1970s she went into health visiting and practiced in Kent and Staffordshire until the end of 2011. During this time she also ran workshops in a women's prison on childcare and health. Sarah has had the privilege of playing a small part in the lives of tens of thousands of babies and their families. Sarah received the Queen's Institute for Nursing Award for a Smoke Detector Scheme she set up in the 1990s and received the MBE from Queen Elizabeth II in 2006 for Services to Children and Families.
